Papercraft Challenge #22

Hi Papercraft friends, how you doin’?

Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve had no internet for a while? If you have, you’d know how frustrating it can be.

For the last two weeks, I’ve had zero access to the internet due to the fact that our modem decided to die! So far, it’s taken two full weeks for the service provider to give us a new one, which still hasn’t arrived yet.

Of course, I’ve had my phone data but after a week, the data depletes very quickly. Especially when it comes to uploading photos, doing research with watching YouTube, etc. So, we’ve had to be very specific & limited with how that phone data was being used.

During this time period, it’s certainly made me realize just how much I rely on having access to the internet to do my work & just things in general. Losing access has really made me wonder what on earth we all did without it & how much we all take it for granted these days. Truly, it’s amazing!

Regardless, I am just extremely grateful to have the (limited) phone data that I do have to be able to access the internet, especially to be able to bring you the next papercraft challenge.

Have you been without the internet for a while? Have you had this happen to you? Tell us your story in the comments below. We’d love to know 🙂

The Challenge Rules Have Changed! – PLEASE READ

A few things have changed in regards to our rules & guidelines for our Papercraft Business challenges. So please take a moment to read through this.

Myself & the DT members have had a few chats over the last month & have decided to make things more focused on the challenge themes. Here’s how it’s going to work.

Normally, we have our themes as ‘Anything Goes with the option of a ‘Challenge Theme’.
Now, we are changing it to ‘Challenge Theme with the option of ‘Anything Goes’.

This means that it now becomes a ‘real’ challenge for you to create your entry projects using that specific challenge theme.

In all respect, the concept of a challenge is when you can exceed your comfort zone &/or capabilities. A challenge allows you to reach new heights, gain new skills & adopt extra knowledge.

Therefore, our new challenge concept may trigger or require you to try something new & different. This, in turn, will give your projects that ‘something extra’ that you may never have thought of or tried before.

So, our new challenge concept will provide the opportunity for our challenge participants who want to step up, get out of their comfort zone & expand their papercraft skills. But also, if you just want to play along & submit your projects with our Anything Goes option, you can.

How to be a Winner of the Challenge

Now that our challenge theme concept & rules have changed, it means that the ways of winning the challenge have changed a little too.

Our challenge winners will be mainly based & chosen according to the participants who created their challenge project entries around the challenge theme. Here’s how it will work.

Prize Winner – Will ONLY be chosen at random from the participants that followed the challenge theme.

Ultimate Designer – Will also ONLY be chosen from the participants that followed the challenge theme.

Top 5 – Will be chosen from ALL of the participants that entered the challenge who either followed the challenge theme or the Anything Goes option.

Winner Selection

From this moment on, the Utimate Designer & Top 5 winners will be selected & chosen by our monthly rostered Design Team member. Each of the DT members will take their turn, each month, to select their choice of winners.

This means that EVERY challenge participant will have a higher chance at being selected as all of our DT members have different styles, techniques & designs that they love.

Remember though, the Prize Winner will still be picked at random from the participants that followed the challenge theme. So, if you really want to win the challenge prize, you MUST follow & adopt the challenge theme when designing your project entry.

In Conclusion

That’s it. I hope you like our new challenge concept & will embrace the new changes.

All of us in the Papercraft Business Challenge Team want to do our best by rewarding & giving recognition to the participants who follow our challenge themes. These are the papercrafters that are going to try their hardest to step out of their comfort zone, to try something new & in turn, expand their papercraft skills.

We’re a papercraft challenge blog & that’s why you’re here, to challenge yourselves, right? So, let’s get to it 🙂
